Following his senior season, O’Keefe posted a 7-2 record with a 1.02 ERA and 106 strikeouts, while his 5.89 strikeout-to-walk ratio led all starting pitchers in the area.

The 2025 baseball season has come to a close, and the large schools of the Cape Girardeau metropolitan coverage area – Cape Central, Jackson, Notre Dame and Saxony Lutheran – were all well-represented in their respective postseason award races. Jackson, the SEMO Conference Tournament champion, got some heavy local praise while the Tigers and Bulldogs who each beat the Indians in the regular season managed two players on the SEMO Conference team in the end.

The Arkansas State University grad student and Notre Dame High School alum became an NCAA Division I All-American after placing 12th in the women’s pole vault at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, June 12, at Hayward Field.
