    Don’t be fooled by his name – Shlomo, a Canaan dog from Haddon Twp., was recorded as the fastest Canaan dog in the country. Yes, we said COUNTRY. At the Fast CAT (Coursing Ability Test) race in Mt. Laurel this past spring, Shlomo ran the 100-yard dash and was recorded running 28..23 mph – a speed that placed him 1st in this year’s competition and 4th in the American Kennel Club’s lifetime list. At the event, he surpassed the 28 mph mark during each of3 separate 100-yard dashes.
