You can find SDPB Television on several channels: KUSD Channel 2 in Vermillion, KESD Channel 8 in Brookings, KZSD Channel 8 in Martin-Long Valley, KBHE Channel 9 in Rapid City, KTSD Channel 10 in Pierre, KQSD Channel 11 in Lowry, KPSD Channel 13 in Faith-Eagle Butte, KDSD Channel 16 in Aberdeen, and KCSD Channel 23 in Sioux Falls. Each year, SDPB produces over 150 hours of local programming and offers more than 65 hours of educational children's shows every week.

    Starting June 25, Monument Health is enacting limited visitation at its Rapid City Hospital Women’s and Children’s Center. In a Facebook post, officials said the restrictions are to protect families—especially newborns who are not old enough to be vaccinated—from the measles virus. Visitation limitations include:Only one support person is allowed for expectant mothers. Only two support individuals are allowed for child patients.

    South Dakota receives $1.9 million as part of another settlement with drug manufacturers, according to Attorney General Marty Jackley. This time, the payment is from Janssen Pharmaceuticals—the pharmaceutical arm of Johnson & Johnson. In 2021, Johnson & Johnson agreed to pay states more than $5 billion over a nine-year period for its role in fueling the opioid crisis. With the latest payment, the state has received more than half of the $9.3 million expected from Janssen.

We share her 2019 Brown Bag Book Club interview. An author and lecturer, Roesch Wagner was one of the first women in the United States to receive a doctorate for work in women's studies. She was also the founder of one of the country's first college women's studies program and taught women's history for 48 years.
