    The Picklr, an indoor pickleball franchise headquartered in Kaysville, Utah, recently announced that it will open two new locations in the South Sound this year, one in Tacoma and another in Federal Way — adding to the growing number of local facilities dedicated to the wildly popular sport. The Picklr Tacoma, set for a newly built structure at 2401 N. Pearl St., will feature 12 courts, including two championship-sized courts, in a 43,000-square-foot location.

    Rally Pickleball Club, a new indoor pickleball facility, has signed a lease for 43,959 square feet of industrial space in Auburn that is being converted to recreational space, according to a news release from Kidder Mathews, which represented the tenant in the transaction. The space, which is being developed into 15 pro-level pickleball courts, is located at 2703 C St. SW, Suite A1, and is targeted to open this summer.
