Eastsiders returned to The Golf Club at Newcastle for the third year in a row last night to celebrate and support one another in their wins at this year’s sold-out Best of 425 party. On the way into the venue, guests stopped by Barzen’s Blooms' mini floral truck for a classic boutonniere to don for the evening. Around 5:30 p.m., the energy was in full swing with attendees enjoying small bites, sips, and music provided by Smooth Groove Productions.

In 2018, McKenzi Marie Fish was rebranding the nonprofit organization she founded at age 16 and wanted the new name to illustrate the impact cancer can have on individuals and families — a name that conveyed how the battle against cancer, even in remission, can last a lifetime. While brainstorming, she thought of the times she’d heard patients and their families describe how they felt they would be “fighting” cancer “forever.” That spurred the organization’s name: Forever Fighters.
