Tempe Union High School District faces enrollment decline for at least the next 10 years, a demographer warned the Governing Board. Presenting an update on what has become a consistently dismal outlook the last few years, Rick Brammer of Applied Demographics told the board on April 2 that Tempe Union’s current enrollment of 11,821 will likely fall to under 9,700 students by that time. And that decline has accelerated in the last two years, he said.
