The Daily Cardinal is a student-run newspaper that caters to the University of Wisconsin–Madison community. Established on April 4, 1892, it is one of the oldest student newspapers in the nation. The publication operates independently in both finances and editorial decisions from the university. Currently, Madeline Heim holds the position of editor-in-chief.
