At age 78, Hayley Williams‘ grandfather just released his debut album. Rusty Williams has been making music all his life. Back in the 70s, he made music with his friend Frank Morris but the pair never broke through on account of ‘not being country enough’ for local Nashville record labels. Five decades on, Rusty Williams is now a recording artist. On February 14th he released his debut album, ‘Grand Man’, with a little help from granddaughter Hayley.

To mark its 50th anniversary, Patti Smith has announced she will perform her seminal debut album ‘Horses’ in full this autumn. Smith will mark the lasting influence of ‘Horses’ with a series of special shows performing the album in its entirety. She will be accompanied by two members of the original group, Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty, along with keyboardist/bassist Tony Shanahan, a part of her band for thirty years. Her son, Jackson Smith also joins on guitar.
