A former Huntington County Community Schools Corporation business manager was sentenced to three years in prison. Scott T. Bumgardner, 51, was sentenced on Nov. 25 in Huntington Circuit Court after he pleaded guilty to charges of corrupt business influence and theft in excess of $50,000 in September. Bumgardner also was ordered to pay $453,327 to HCCSC, the amount he admitted to taking. The charges stem from investigations by the Indiana State Police and the Indiana State Board of Accounts.

The honorary captains have been named for the 2024 Ness Brothers Hall of Fame Classic at Huntington University. About 11,000 visitors were transported to yesteryear during the 48th annual Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival.
