The Logan Banner, which was first called the Logan County Banner, is a local newspaper based in Logan, West Virginia. Its distribution is focused on Logan County and nearby regions. This newspaper was established in 1889 by Henry Clay Ragland, a former Confederate army soldier, and started as a weekly publication. In 1935, it transitioned to a Monday through Friday afternoon schedule. Then, in 1981, it changed to its current unique publishing routine of Tuesday to Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings.

CHARLESTON – A Wood County man has filed a federal lawsuit against Logan County Sheriff P.D. Clemens, several deputies, and the Logan County Commission alleging excessive use of police force. The suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on May 29 by Andrew James Somervill. Somervill, 36, was arrested in Logan County on June 5, 2024 and charged with battery on an officer, shoplifting, fleeing in vehicle, and driving suspended. kAmx?

SARAH ANN – A Sunday night crash involving a vehicle and a UTV that resulted in two young children being airlifted is still under investigation as of Tuesday morning, according to Logan County Sheriff P.D. Clemens. Clemens said the crash happened on W.Va. Route 44 at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday near the Hatfield-McCoy trail crossing at Sarah Ann.
