A Town Creek woman was arrested Friday in Morgan County on a charge of trafficking methamphetamine and five failure to appear warrants, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. Furry Friends Family Funday, hosted by Friends of Lawrence County Animal Shelter, will be held Sept. 21 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Moulton Speedway. It is a free event, however donations will be accepted. All of the money raised will go toward a spay and neuter fund for the Lawrence County Animal Shelter. There will be live performances, dessert trucks, vendors, inflatables, concessions, bingo, dunk-a-cop and an adoption tent, among other attractions. Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair.
