    May 12—A Somerville man was charged Saturday with multiple counts of child pornography after a raid on a rehabilitation and recovery center on Alabama 36 near Hartselle, according to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office. James Oliver Canter, 49, was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography with intent to disseminate and remained in the Morgan County Jail on Monday in lieu of a $375,000 bond. During the search, 25 subjects were detained.

    May 12—A Tuscaloosa man stopped on Interstate 65 Sunday had in his vehicle packaged marijuana, a pound of synthetic narcotics/THC and a stolen firearm, according to Priceville police. Jared Shamar Jennings, 23, was charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property. He remained in the Morgan County Jail on Monday pending a court review of his federal probation status on prior firearms charges, police said.
