    FASHION RETAIL NEWS UK Primark is to make its debut in the Middle East through its partnership with retail franchise operator Alshaya Group. The two companies have confirmed plans to open a store at The Avenues in Kuwait in October. This will be followed by launches in  Dubai in early 2026 in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif. Primark and Alshaya will also be working together to consider future stores in other markets across the region.

    FOOD AND DRINK NEWS UK John Lewis has opened a Jamie Oliver cookery school and cafe at its store in London’s Oxford Street. Spanning 4,600 square feet on the third floor, the space includes two cookery classrooms and a cafe that can seat up to 50 people. John Lewis has seen its hospitality sales rise by 6% over the last twelve months and one in five transactions made in a John Lewis shop is now made in a cafe or restaurant.
