The Road Haulage Association

The Road Haulage Association (RHA) represents a diverse group of 8,500 members, from individual owner-operators to companies with fleets exceeding 1,000 vehicles. Together, they manage over 100,000 commercial vehicles that are active on UK roads. We advocate for our members on a wide range of topics, including speed limits, roadside amenities, clean air zones, and cross-border transportation issues, whether by sea or land. Our policy team collaborates closely with government officials and agencies in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, and Belfast, as well as with local authorities throughout the UK. This ensures that our members' concerns are addressed at both national and local levels. Whether it’s tackling Direct Vision Standards in London or dealing with overgrown trees in County Antrim, our team is ready to assist. Our technical experts maintain ongoing communication with members to help ensure their vehicles meet compliance standards, while our in-house trainers provide extensive, accredited training courses at our facilities in Peterborough and Bathgate. We can also arrange training sessions on-site at our members' locations. Founded in 1945, the RHA is the only trade organization in the UK exclusively focused on the needs of commercial vehicle operators, including trucks, coaches, and vans.
