The Southeast Texas Record
At The SE Texas Record, we aim to provide comprehensive coverage of Texas's legal system, empowering our readers to engage with public affairs effectively. Our focus will be on civil cases in the state's courts, similar to what other Record publications are doing in regions like Illinois, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Northern California, Florida, St. Louis, and Louisiana. These tort cases often receive little attention from mainstream media, yet they significantly influence the lives of our residents.

Erin Nealy Cox apparently is one of more than 20 applicants for the open federal judgeship in North Texas, according to sources familiar with the matter. Despite her history with Trump, Nealy Cox has been a staunch critic of the January 6 protests and its participants. And Nealy Cox’s law firm is in the crosshairs of the Trump administration as well.
