The State Press
The State Press is the student-run news outlet for Arizona State University. It transitioned to a fully digital format in August 2014. Prior to that, it released a free print newspaper every weekday until January 2013, when it shifted to a weekly print edition. The editorial team later shared that ASU Student Media would concentrate on developing various new digital offerings and occasional special print editions.

As the crowd assembled in the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza in front of the Capitol building, a number of speakers addressed the protesters from a stage set up in a parking lot. Demonstrators filled the plaza and lined the roads around the Capitol.

As President Donald Trump seeks to cut funding to public media sources, Arizona PBS is defending the value of its services while looking for alternatives to federal support. Trump signed an executive order on May 1 to end the "taxpayer subsidization of biased media." This action instructs the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to end direct funding to PBS and NPR and decline to provide them with future funds. Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs signed a bill on May 7 banning encampments on the state's university and community college campuses. House Bill 2880 deems individuals who"establish or occupy an encampment" on campuses to be guilty of criminal trespass and liable for costs related to removing the encampment and repairing any damage caused. According to state law, this degree of criminal trespass is a class 3 misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in prison.
