With just five days to the start of the 2025 NFL draft, quarterback has taken over the top spot for the Pittsburgh Steelers draft needs in the first round. ESPN NFL draft pundits Matt Miller and Jordan Reid talked about the players in the first round that represent the biggest value as well as fill the biggest need for all 32 NFL teams. For the Steelers, Reid and Miller both pointed to different quarterbacks.

The folks over at Pro Football Network have a new seven-round mock draft out just days before the start of the 2025 NFL draft. In this simulation, PFN has Pittsburgh working a trade with the Houston Texans to move back to pick No. 25 and getting pick No. 53 in this year's draft as well as a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft. But they don't stop there. PFN pulls off a second trade for the Steelers, sending wide receiver George PIckens to the Kansas City Chiefs for a fifth-round pick (No. 133).

The team added offensive coordinator last offseason to facilitate that philosophy via running backs Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and Cordarrelle Patterson. Unfortunately, the results didn't match with the hopes and now the Steelers find themselves looking to start over with many of the same pieces.
