    Paul Raymond Ping, 89, of O’Fallon, Ill., passed away April 9, 2025 at his home. Paul was born February 4, 1936 in St. Louis, Mo., to Ivan H. and Hattie, nee Elson, Ping. He grew up on a farm and graduated from the O’Fallon Township High School Class of 1954. He was proud to be part of the Panthers’ Hall of Fame championship basketball team. Paul served in the US Army Reserves from ‘57-‘63.

Kahok Devin Habermehl won the shot put at both competitions. At the Tiger Indoor meet hosted by Edwardsville on March 14, Habermehl outdistanced the field with a toss of 16.98 meters or 55’ 8 ½”. Gavin Stukenberg of Edwardsville was second with a heave of 15.45 meters or 50’ 8 ¼”.
