Trouw

Trouw is a compact daily newspaper from the Netherlands, pronounced as [trʌu] in Dutch, which translates to "fidelity" in English. It began in 1943 as an underground newspaper for orthodox Protestants during World War II. In 2009, it became part of De Persgroep. Trouw was honored with the European Newspaper Award in 2012, and the current editor-in-chief is Cees van der Laan.
