SEOUL, May 15 (UPI) -- The United States extended its ban on travel to North Korea for the ninth year in a row, a federal notice showed, citing "imminent danger" posed by any trips to the authoritarian state. In a public notice posted on the Federal Register on Wednesday, the State Department announced the extension, which will be in effect from Sept. 1 until Aug. 31, 2026, unless extended or revoked by the secretary of State. The current measure was set to expire at the end of August.

May 15 (UPI) -- During an earnings call Thursday, Walmart said it will be forced to raise prices soon even with the reduced tariffs on China as trade with the United States is negotiated. Price increases will happen later this month. Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said during the call, "Even at the reduced levels, the higher tariffs will result in higher prices."Walmart said the Trump administration higher tariffs on U.S. trading partners are working against efforts by Walmart to keep prices low.

May 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Treasury Department Thursday sanctioned two senior Hezbollah officials and two financial facilitators for what it said were roles in coordinating financial transfers to the group.
