    Milwaukee County is looking for artists to create public art installations at the new human services building going up in the King Park neighborhood. The county is currently building a $42 million, 60,000-square-foot headquarters for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) at 1230 W. Cherry St. Construction is scheduled to finish this year and DHHS is looking for artists to design an exterior mural and a mobile for the interior.

    Milwaukee County Parks opened all of its public golf courses for the season Friday. The parks department opened thirteen courses across the system, after a soft opening in March for a handful of courses when the weather allowed. The public courses will remain open until fall 2025. Depending on the weather, they can remain open as late as November. The county golf system includes a variety of courses, from par-three courses like Lake Park up to the tournament-level course at Brown Deer Park.
