19-year-old goalkeeper Pierce Charles has been named Sheffield Wednesday’s April Player of the Month by fans of the club. Charles has impressed since taking the number one spot from James Beadle. The Northern Ireland international has put in some impressive displays over April, so it’s no surprise he’s won the award. In the monthly vote ran by the club, Charles received 46% of the votes. He pipped Callum Paterson (23%) and brother Shea (11%) to the award.
