WCKT-FM (Ft. Myers, FL)
WCKT is a commercial radio station based in Lehigh Acres, Florida, serving the Fort Myers area on the frequency of 107.1 FM. The station features a country music format known as "Cat Country." WCKT first launched in 1976 with a beautiful music format. In 1979, it transitioned to a Disco format and changed its call letters to WSWF. By 1985, the station shifted to Album Oriented Rock and adopted the call letters WOOJ, branding itself as Orange Rock 107. In 1988, in response to competition from the more powerful WRXK, WOOJ updated its format to Classic Rock. Finally, in 1989, the station rebranded as WCKT and switched to its current Country format.
