Owned by Western Illinois Broadcasting, the transmitter for WRMJ is situated on 151st Street in rural Mercer County, conveniently located just off Illinois Route 17 to the west of Aledo.

A private family service will take place, followed by interment at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery, Monmouth, IL. Memorials may be made in Dorothy’s honor to the Mercer County Senior Center. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, is assisting the family. Dorothy Violet was born on July 23, 1925, to Ward Porter and Muriel (Young) Haynes in Ponemah, Illinois. She was a 1944 graduate of Alexis High School.
