WZZK-FM (Birmingham, AL)

WZZK-FM (104.7 FM) is a radio station that plays country music and is based in Birmingham, serving the northern and central parts of Alabama. Since January 3, 2007, it has been the main station for the Rick and Bubba radio network. WZZK-FM was the first FM station in Birmingham to adopt a country music format and was one of the most popular radio stations in the area during the 1980s and 1990s. The station is owned by Summit Media, which also operates six other stations, all of which are located in studios in the Cahaba area of southeast Birmingham. The transmitter for WZZK-FM is positioned on Red Mountain in Birmingham.
