    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A pedestrian was struck and killed after he was hit by a car while trying to cross Fern Valley Road. According to Louisville Metro police, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m., west of Preston Highway. Investigators said the man was wearing dark clothing and was trying to cross in the middle of the street. The man was then hit by a second vehicle. The victim died before medical help could arrive. His name has not been released.
