The Lamoille Union High School chess team took home the team championship for the fourth year in a row on March 29 at the 38th Annual Vermont State Scholastic Chess Championship, narrowly beating out the runner-up Essex High School. Elizabeth Daley and Truman Bates tied for third place in the high school division, and Merlin Gwozdz tied for fourth with others among the nearly 200 students who participated in the event, which was held at Lamoille.

The leadership at Lamoille Home Health and Hospice has been thinking a lot about office supplies lately. They’ve found a way to get a good deal on them, among other things. The at-home assistance provider joined up, along with their neighbors at Copley Hospital, Lamoille Health Partners and other regional health care providers, in joining the New England Health Network, a collaborative group formed last year in order to help form connections and be more efficient.
