DriveBC first reported of rocks on the stretch of Highway 1 in Sicamous at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday (June 5). A geotechnical investigation is underway, and another update is due at 2:00 p.m. Drivers are asked to take a detour via Highways 97A and 97B.

By Crash Statistics Jun 4, 2025 | 11:33 AM KAMLOOPS — For the third consecutive year, a stretch of Pacific Way earned the disreputable accomplishment of having the most vehicle crashes in Kamloops. According to data on vehicle-related crashed and injuries from 2024, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) says a total of 60 collisions were recorded on Pacific Way between Hillside Drive and Hugh Allan Drive.
