Nestled between the red banks of the South Australian outback and the vineyards of the Clare Valley is a historic little town named Burra. Built on traditional Ngadjuri land, Burra is an easy two-hour drive north of Adelaide, and tourism is booming as visitors are eager to discover this State Heritage Town, which also proclaims it is the Merino Capital of the World. Local store owner Jodie Quinn, 47, moved to Burra from Kangaroo Island in 2003 after she met her husband John, 49, a local resident.
