The pool was closed for five weeks due to maintenance; now repairs are needed to make sure the building will operate efficiently.     DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) — A recent donation of rescue kits to the Durant Independent School District will help save lives in an emergency situation. In 2008, Colton Sherrill died at age 10 due to an unknown heart defect. Each year since then, Trace and Dena Sherrill have held a fundraiser run to keep their son's memory alive and to support cardiac education. All the funds they raise from the running event goes to schools and projects.

    GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KTEN) — A 47-year-old man from Sherman has been sentenced to a total of 43 years in prison. In August 2022, a Grayson County deputy pulled Henry Peters over for a traffic violation during a routine traffic stop. The deputy discovered a baseball-size bag containing crack cocaine under the vehicle. In October 2022, a Grayson County Sheriff's Office investigator stopped another vehicle on US 75 and arrested Peters for throwing narcotics out the window.

    SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — Sherman police are gearing up for their annual Fright Fest, a Halloween tradition hosted by the department. It began after September 11, 2001 to give families a safe place to trick-or-treat. Officers say they're looking for more vendors to help pass out treats. "If there's any businesses, churches, organizations that want to take part in it... it's free," said Sgt. Brett Mullen. "All you have to do is supply your own candy and set up your booth.

    BONHAM, Texas (KTEN) — The City of Bonham is working to improve water and sewer lines, but that ongoing construction is causing headaches for people who call the town home. But the city promises that drivers traveling down Island Bayou Road will soon see that construction come to an end. It's part of the $15 million project that began six years ago to improve the city's water and sewer lines. The money came from the city's Water Development Board.
