VAN ALSTYNE, Texas (KTEN) — Van Alstyne residents will soon have a new city park. A groundbreaking ceremony took place Monday afternoon for the 24-acre facility that will feature a fishing pond, playground, restrooms and an event pavilion. "It creates a green space division between residential development in Van Alstyne," said City Manager Lane Jones.
