MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WKEF) -- Miami Conservancy District monitoring water levels as rivers are expected to rise. The Miami Valley is under a flood watch through Sunday morning as more than 6 inches of rain is possible in the next few days. But as river levels rise, dams are operated by the Miami Conservancy District to prevent catastrophic flooding. The Taylorsville dam is just one of five dams built by the Miami Conservancy District after the Great Dayton Flood of 1913.

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WKEF) -- A 21-year-old Miamisburg was arrested on drug trafficking charges on Tuesday, March 18. Miamisburg Police say detectives from the Tactical Crime Suppression Unit, the TCSU SWAT team and Miamisburg police, executed three search warrants that came out of a long-term drug trafficking investigation. That investigation involves several people who are believed to be working with one another and trafficking methamphetamine and vaping products to juveniles.

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio - Federal agents have arrested a man accused of selling counterfeit goods at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek. The United States Attorney's Office of the Southern District of Ohio, says 25-year-old Emre Teski was taken into custody Thursday. Investigators say Teski ran one kiosk that mostly sold replica professional soccer jerseys and hats containing trademarked soccer teams.

NEW PARIS, Ohio (WKEF) -- The Ohio State Fire Marshall is being called in to help investigate a major barn fire at a poultry farm. The fire started this morning at a barn at 62 Billman Road in New Paris. Fire crews on scene tell us it was contained to one of the barns at New Madison Pullets Inc. No injuries were reported and it's not clear how many chickens were killed in the fire. New Madison Fire is helping lead the investigation.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) – On Friday, Lori Kennedy took Oath of Office as Montgomery County Recorder. She was elected by the Montgomery County citizens in November’s General Election. Recorder Kennedy was surrounded by close friends, family, elected officials and colleagues to celebrate her taking the Oath. The Oath of Office was administered by Second District Court of Appeals Judge Christopher B. Epley.
