House fire on Fox Run Avenue displaces two; no connection so far to Friday fire on same streetBATON ROUGE - Two people were displaced after a house fire on Fox Run Avenue, Baton Rouge Fire Department officials said. No injuries resulted from the fire and the fire is out, officials said. Another fire took place on the same street April 18, although officials say there is no connection between the fires thus far. The fire is under investigation.

inNewsSource: WBRZKENTWOOD - One person died in a shooting Wednesday morning, the Kentwood Police Department said. Police said they were dispatched to a shooting around 10:30 a.m. to the 700 block of Ida Temple Street. A male victim suffering from gunshot wounds was declared dead on the scene. The victim's name was not given as the family has not yet been notified. Police are still determining a motive. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kentwood Police Department at (985) 229-6305.

inNewsSource: WBRZGONZALES - A man was arrested after multiple motorcycles stolen from Gonzales were found in New Orleans, the Gonzales Police Department said. Officials said three separate thefts happened beginning on April 16 at a Gonzales apartment complex. A suspect was linked to a New Orleans address, and thanks to help from multiple agencies, officials located the suspect vehicle and the trailer believed to be used in the thefts.

Fire set at vacant gymnasium on Louisiana New School Academy; cause undeterminedBATON ROUGE - A vacant gymnasium on the campus of Louisiana New School Academy on North Boulevard caught fire Tuesday evening, Baton Rouge Fire Department officials said. Officials said smoke was coming from the vacant gymnasium and discovered a rubbish fire in one corner of the building before being extinguished. Investigators are working to determine a cause for the fire.
