CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – We’ve had some pretty chilly weather this April but that wasn’t the case last month. March 2025 was one of the warmest Marches on record across the world. According to NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information, the March global temperature was 2.36 degrees above the 20th century average of 54.9 degrees making it the third warmest March on record for the globe in NOAA’s 176-year record.

It sure hasn’t felt very spring-like recently, and it looks like the winter chill will be sticking around a little longer. The sun was out Wednesday and we’re seeing more buds showing up on the trees, but temperatures continue to be colder than average. Earlier this week we saw some wet and even wintry weather with some areas picking up a coating of snow.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Not only is baseball season underway but golfers are heading to area courses now open to hit the links!We have had some wet weather recently but we’ve had some nice days too. Now that it’s April the snow is pretty much all gone and temperatures are warming up, golfers are making their way to area golf courses. And right now the course here at East Mountain Country Club in Westfield is in pretty good shape.
