It will be cool and breezy again today but not as windy as Tuesday afternoon. There can be a few showers this morning that mix with snow, but little to no impacts expected for the commute. Expect mostly cloudy skies throughout the day, but clearing skies and calming winds will allow for a very cold night tonight with area-wide temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. The good news is we’ll see plenty of sun Thursday with temperatures rebounding closer to average by the afternoon.

PITTSBURGH — Finally, the sun is back today! Skies cleared overnight for most of us, and temperatures have fallen into the upper 20s and low 30s. The exception is for counties east of Pittsburgh, where some low clouds are still holding tough. Almost all of us will rebound into the low 60s this afternoon, which is very seasonable for this time of year. A warm front approaches tonight and may bring some light rain around midnight. The more active weather comes on Monday as the cold front approaches.

PITTSBURGH — The steady rain from Thursday is gone, but a few areas are still damp this morning, mainly south and east of Pittsburgh. Most of the day will be dry but a few light, occasional showers can’t be ruled out. An area of low pressure will form along the east coast tonight and try to throw some moisture our way by Saturday morning. It may be cold enough in spots for rain to mix with snow showers, although nothing heavy is expected.

It’s a damp, cool start to the day with temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s. A few wet flakes may be falling north of I-80/northeast of Indiana, but for the vast majority of us, it’s a steady light rain as you head out. Rain will linger into much of the day before scattering out a bit this afternoon. A weak cold front will cross this evening, bringing the potential for a few thunderstorms mainly west and southwest of Pittsburgh.
