Report states half a million WA drivers have expired tabs

About 600,000 Washington drivers are on the roads illegally, according to CARFAX, a vehicle history database. Recent data from CARFAX claims 593,000 people are driving with expired tabs. "Data scientists analyzed relevant VIN-specific data from CARFAX sources. We have 165,000 sources. That information comes into our database, and our data scientists are able to estimate the number of cars with expired registrations per state," said Em Nguyen with CARFAX.

A Renton police drone was used to safely defuse an in-progress burglary call without entering the building — and all of it was captured on video. Renton police officers responded to a call about a burglary in-progress on June 14, around 7:30 p.m. The incident happened at a vacant hotel located near the 700 block of Park Avenue North. "You don’t know the layout. You don’t know what you’re walking into," said Officer Matt Nugent. Instead of sending in officers, the department used a drone.

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies lassoed a suspect threatening his parents with a chainsaw in Roy. FOX 13 Seattle obtained body-camera footage of the arrest. Investigators tell FOX 13 Seattle they received a 911 call Saturday afternoon that a man was threatening his family with a chainsaw. Investigators said when they arrived on scene, a 32-year-old man positioned himself in a pond with the chainsaw. The Video: Video shows deputies arming themselves with non-lethal beanbag rounds.

A massive nationwide anti-Trump movement is scheduled for Saturday. The "No Kings" day protest coincides with President Trump’s birthday. There are hundreds of events scheduled across the country, including dozens in western Washington.

The man accused of firing an AR-15-style rifle at a sheriff’s deputy during a high-speed chase in Thurston County and fleeing the state appeared in court Wednesday. Damien Madison, 27, faces multiple charges in connection to this crimespree including first-degree assault, drive-by shooting, unlawful possession of a gun. Madison also has several active cases in Thurston County. During the hearing, the prosecution addressed the judge regarding Madison’s charges.

Deputies arrested two teenagers for a violent crime spree throughout Pierce County, including pistol whipping a child riding a bicycle. According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the suspects — an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old — are accused of committing three separate armed robberies in about an hour on Monday night. The first incident happened at Paradise Lanes Entertainment on the 12500 block of Pacific Avenue South.
