People with epilepsy have one of the lowest rates of employment among disabled people. According to the Office for National Statistics, only 34 per cent of people who identify epilepsy as their main health condition are in work. Disabled people are more than twice as likely as non-disabled people to be out of work.

Noise-induced hearing loss is the second biggest cause of hearing loss in the UK, but it’s also the most preventable. It’s essential that we all look after our hearing at work and at home by following safe listening practices. Over-exposure to loud noise can damage your ears before you know it, causing permanent hearing loss and tinnitus – ringing or buzzing in your ears. There are two factors that increase the risk: how loud the sound is, and how long you are exposed to it for.
