By Albert Futukpor/Solomon GumahTamale, March 22, GNA – President John Mahama on Saturday announced that the government would pay the teacher and nursing trainees’ allowances through the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD). He said by this, the allowances would be paid regularly to the students just like how the CAGD paid salaries to government workers. He said this was to eliminate the delays associated with the payment of the allowances to the beneficiary students.

By Albert FutukporTinguri (NE/R), Jan. 25, GNA – Plan International Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has donated some furniture to 10 basic schools in the West Mamprusi Municipality, to improve teaching and learning at the pre-school levels. The furniture comprised 176 round tables and 704 chairs (four chairs for each round table) and they were distributed to beneficiary schools to ensure that children at the pre-school level sit comfortably in class.
