Lovin’ Life Music Fest won’t just have award-winning artists and hit superstars on stage. Several singers and musicians from the Southeast, including Charlotte, will once again be part of the lineup this year too. For the second annual three-day festival in uptown, one of the stages will be dedicated to performances from aspiring artists from across the region — which will be more than 15 acts that “represent the spirit of the Carolinas: bold, authentic, and full of heart,” organizers say.

The last few details are coming together after three years of planning, remodeling and renovating the former Dilworth church that has seen many lives since it was built in 1915. The doors are set to open at the 150-seat restaurant the week of May 6.

After serving Charlotte since October 2012, Letty's on Shamrock is closing up on New Year's Eve to make way for owner Letty Ketner to shift into a more relaxed phase of life. "We're celebrating 12 years of business, and I'm planning my retirement," Ketner told CharlotteFive. "We opened with the idea of selling some Honey Pecan Chicken and a hamburger or two, and maybe a special - a daily special," she said.
