MILAM COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A Milam County judge declared a Mistrial Thursday in the case against Isaac Carrizales. Carrizales is accused of participating in the 2023 shooting death of 30-year-old Jeffery McKinney. Milam County District Attorney Brian Price told KBTX the jury began deliberations Wednesday. By Thursday, the jury could not reach a verdict and the judge declared a mistrial. Price said a new trial date has been set for August 4.

Isaac Carrizales, who was 17 when the alleged crime happened, was indicted on Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity - Enhanced, a first-degree felony, in June 2023. HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) - A day after the Huntsville ISD school board met to formally terminate the employment of two educators arrested last month, KBTX has confirmed two additional HISD employees are also facing criminal charges.
