BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Tornado WATCH is in effect until 9pm for Montgomery and San Jacinto Counties. Tornado Watch issued for two Brazos Valley Counties(KBTX)A cold front is still making its way through the Brazos Valley. As it does so, it still brings the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms. Once this front clears, we will put the severe weather risks to rest, but until then the primary concern will be for hail and gusting winds, but a tornado threat cannot be ruled out either.

Debby is the fourth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season after Tropical Storm Alberto, Hurricane Beryl and Tropical Storm Chris, all of which formed in June.

Keeping an eye on some showers and storms off to our north that our weakening as they head our way. July was headlined by Hurricane Beryl and an unrelated unusually wet week mid/late month thanks to a stalled trough of low pressure that brought several inches of rain to much of the area.
