    A coroner has warned that more deaths could occur at a North Wales junction where a mother-of-three was killed in a collision. Emma Jane Hill, a teaching assistant, of Cornbrook, Skelmersdale, died when the motorbike on which she was a pillion passenger collided with a Mercedes car on the A534 at Holt, near Wrexham, on April 6.

    A grandfather who was kept waiting for more than five hours in an A&E waiting room with chest pain died in his chair from a cardiac arrest, an inquest heard. William Phillips was rushed to Wrexham Maelor Hospital in September 2020 by his wife, Brenda, after giving up waiting for an ambulance. She was forced to leave him alone because of the pandemic restrictions in place and he was escorted to a chair in the waiting room.

    A Welsh man who claimed he caught scabies after staying at a Travelodge hotel has had his claim thrown out. Darren Jones said he spent three nights at the chain on a work trip in July 2021. He claimed that following the stay, he vomited, felt weak and developed a rash over his body, and was later diagnosed with scabies. He took the company to court in a bid for damages. Travelodge denied liability.
