A man has been flown to hospital with "potentially life-threatening injuries" following a crash on the A525 this morning. The collision, between a van and a car, shut the road near Hanmer, in Wrexham, for hours, while emergency services worked at the scene. A North Wales Police statement said: "A man has sustained serious, potentially life-threatening injuries following a collision near Whitchurch earlier this morning (Tuesday, June 3).

A child has been airlifted to hospital after "falling from height" from a property in a busy Welsh town centre. Emergency services including police, paramedics and a Wales Air Ambulance were called to Broad Street in Newtown, Powys, on Friday evening, May 30. It followed reports a child had been injured. The youngster was flown to hospital by air ambulance for treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing.

A lorry driver was flown to hospital after his vehicle overturned on a main road. Emergency services were called to the A525, near Bangor-on-Dee, in Wrexham, on Monday afternoon after the lorry crashed. The Wales Air Ambulance was called to the scene, and the driver was flown to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment. The road was closed for several hours after tar spilled from the lorry onto the carriageway. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A holidaymaker has vowed never to book with TUI again following a "nightmare" all-inclusive trip to Corfu that had "no English food" or hotel entertainment. Susan Edwards embarked on a seven-night stay at the Lido Corfu Sun Hotel on May 12, alongside her elderly cousins, daughter, and second cousin. However, the 69-year-old from Westerhope, Newcastle, said the holiday was "horrendous from the minute [they] got there".

An investigation has been launched after a person fell through a ceiling at a North Wales college over the weekend. It happened at the Grŵp Llandrillo Menai Glynllifon campus, near Llandwrog, in Gwynedd, on Sunday. A spokesperson for Grŵp Llandrillo Menai said: "On June the 1st, an incident involving a contractor occurred at our Glynllifon campus. No serious injuries were sustained. We are now conducting an investigation to identify the cause." Firefighters were called to free the person.
