LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A well-known historic home in central Laredo that houses a community garden now needs serious repairs. The Canseco House on Chihuahua Street has been fenced off after being deemed unsafe by city officials. According to Laredo City Council member Melissa Cigarroa, both the city’s risk management team and engineering department determined the structure is not safe. She says the issue started with a roof leak that was never properly addressed.

(KGNS) - A group of Laredo ISD students is spending their summer learning what it’s like to work in law enforcement, thanks to a special camp run by the Webb County Constable for Precinct One, Guadalupe Gomez. The camp gives students hands-on lessons in topics like the penal code, CPR, how to safely detain a person, and what officers face on a daily basis.

LAREDO, Texas - El Distrito Escolar de United (UISD) ofrece nuevos detalles del arresto de un menor de edad tras una supuesta amenaza terrorista a un plantel escolar. “Hizo una amenaza jugando de que iba a balacear la escuela, eso lo levantó y alertó la presencia policíaca en la casa del estudiante”, contó Sylvia Abrego, portavoz del Departamento de Policía de UISD. De acuerdo con Abrego, el menor realizó las amenazas a través de una plataforma llamada Roblox, popular entre jóvenes.
