LAREDO, Texas - Madres de familia del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Laredo (LISD) tuvieron una fiesta de Día de las Madres, este viernes. En el festejo, el cual tuvo lugar la mañana del viernes 9 de mayo, llevaron mariachis y también las mamás disfrutaron de una comida en su honor. El distrito les agradeció su participación en las actividades de sus hijos y les encomendó que siguieran apoyando a los estudiantes en toda su educación.

LAREDO, Texas - Las fuertes lluvias que azotaron la noche del jueves en la región causaron un fuerte caudal en la calle Hernández de El Cenizo, Texas. La noche del jueves 8 de mayo en la cuadra 500 de Hernández el agua se acumuló y fluyó como si fuera un río. Afortunadamente, este viernes 9 de mayo el panorama se mostró diferente y no causó mayores daños. Los residentes de ese lugar dijeron que no les extraña esta situación, ya que cada que hay tormentas severas, sus calles se inundan.

EL CENIZO, Tex. (KGNS) - Driving through a certain area of El Cenizo was much more peaceful compared to Thursday night, May 8, when drivers faced heavy rainfall and flooded streets. Following the thunderstorms, one street resembled a river, with El Cenizo Mayor Carina Hernandez reporting that the flooding in that area lasted for about an hour. Residents in the area, like Silvia Santos, say that this situation is expected whenever heavy showers pass through the town.
