On April 7, narcotics investigators made contact with Darryl Griffin, 35, of Carriere, at the intersection of Anchor Lake Road and Old Highway 11. He was found in possession of methamphetamine and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

They conducted their first-ever mass Oath of Enlistment ceremony, recognizing cadets who committed to military service. The event, held at 2 p.m. in the school’s JROTC gym, was attended by family, classmates, faculty, and military officials.

Assistant District Attorneys Taylor Nicholson and Iain Dover prosecuted the four-day trial before Judge Scott Gardner. Lt. Jayson Germann of the Pearl River Police Department led the investigation.
