BUFFALO, N.Y. — E-bikes are rising in popularity across New York State and in Western New York. Safety experts said too many riders are breaking the rules and putting themselves and others, at risk. By law, you must be at least 16 years old to ride an e-bike in New York. Just like cars, e-bike riders are required to follow the rules of the road: riding with traffic, using hand signals, and staying alert. Helmets aren't required by law, but experts like Harvey Miles said they are a must.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hundreds of Western New Yorkers will soon be out of work, as Rite Aid shutters dozens of locations across the region. State labor records show 68 stores across Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties will officially start shutting down June 4. In total, 745 employees will lose their jobs. This follows Rite Aid's second Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in less than a year.

Fake text messages claiming to be from the New York DMV are targeting people across Chautauqua County and beyond. The messages say you owe money for a traffic ticket and threaten to suspend your registration if you don't pay immediately, but officials say it's all a scam.

His classmates and teachers are rallying behind him, making signs and sending all the love they can. Five-year-old Lucas Roller is known for his big smile and an even bigger love for sports. Just before Mother's Day, The ST. Mary's kindergartener was diagnosed with high-risk Neuroblastoma, which is a rare and aggressive cancer.
