A nonprofit is now investigating Roanoke County Public Schools and Mountain View Elementary School after a recent suicide. Autumn Bushman was just 10 years old when she passed away less than a month ago. The LIFE Foundation, a nonprofit based out of Montana, said they are launching an independent review of bullying policies and students' mental health care. The president of the foundation, Kim Leathers, said it is heartbreaking to see this happening all over the country.

A man in Buena Vista is claiming he was wrongfully charged with conducting an illegal gambling enterprise at his wife's restaurant. He said the charges all stem from hosting bingo at the 501 Roadhouse. The Buena Vista Police Department charged Brian Rowsey with three counts of conducting an illegal gambling enterprise. Now, Rowsey is asking them to drop the charges, because he said they were just playing bingo. "Just because I said come and eat and play bingo. That's not a felony.
