MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. — James Marine Inc. released a statement Thursday after a man's body was found in water near Clarks River Road in Paducah. The McCracken County Sheriff's Office sent a news release asking the public to be on the lookout for 32-year-old Robert Daryl Dennis at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday evening. According to MCSO, Dennis was last seen on Clarks River Road at about 2:30 p.m. the same day.

Community storm shelters are opening across the four state region in anticipation of severe storms. McCracken County Arcadia Methodist Church at 261 Lone Oak Road in Paducah will open as a shelter at 3 p.m. People seeking shelter should bring their own food, medications, electrical items, bedding, and entertainment. The Safe Haven Church will be opening their basement around 2:30 p.m. until they feel the storm has passed.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY — According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, at 6:11 a.m. on January 31, officers responded to the intersection of Old US Highway 45 & Hillmont Drive regarding a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. Investigation revealed that 27-year-old Clayton Smith of Paducah was traveling south on Old US Highway 45 in a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado pickup while 75-year old Teresita Lopez of Paducah was walking across both lanes of the road.
