When deputies arrived, they found two bodies in the Mount Ord area, not far from the Gila County border.

On Valentine’s Day, the 14-year-old’s remains were found dismembered in trash bags in the woods north of Globe. Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said that 30-year-old Brandon Andres Bautista Torres was sentenced to natural life in prison for the murders of 19-year-old Selina Toyos and her daughter, Aleena Bermudez. “This was a horrific and cowardly act of domestic violence that claimed two innocent lives,” Mitchell said in a statement.
